Sea Hunt boats are wildly popular for good reason: they’re capable, versatile, well-built, pretty and represent a great value. But there’s still room for upgrades, and Sea Hunt owners purchase lots of parts and materials from Boat Outfitters to customize their boats.
Because Boat Outfitters’ parent company, Teak Isle Mfg., supplies Sea Hunt with a wide variety of OEM parts, Boat Outfitters can also provide direct replacements for many Sea Hunt components. Here are a few of the coolest upgrades our customers make to their Sea Hunts.
Dash Panel Upgrades
Most of today’s Sea Hunts are built with acrylic dash panels manufactured by Teak Isle, so replacing your panel isn’t technically an upgrade. If you want to change out your electronics, though, you’re in luck. Just provide your boat’s model and year, and Boat Outfitters can make a new replacement panel so you’ll be starting with a clean slate.
"Tombstone" Style
On the other hand, if you’ve got a Sea Hunt with a “tombstone”-style molded plastic instrument panel to port, swapping it out for a black acrylic panel can make a big impact on your boat’s appearance. Some customers also cover the fiberglass panel to the right of the tombstone with acrylic, either for aesthetic reasons or when changing electronics.
Wine Cabinet to Tackle Box Conversions
Many Sea Hunts — including the Ultra 234, 235, 255, and 265 and Gamefish 25 and 27 — are available with an upgraded fiberglass leaning post that includes an inset tackle cabinet or wine cabinet.
Both cabinets are supplied by Teak Isle/Boat Outfitters and are 100% interchangeable. So if you’ve got a wine cabinet but wish you had tackle storage, or vice-versa, it’s a simple swap. Of course, you can always add a wine cabinet or tackle cabinet even if your boat wasn’t originally equipped with one.

Glove Box Retrofit for Overhead E-Box
Several Sea Hunt models — notably the Gamefish 25, 27 and 30; the Ultra 235, 255 and 275; and the BX25 — are delivered with black acrylic panels on the overhead electronics box under the hardtop.
On the starboard side is a section that can be unscrewed and removed for access but provides no usable storage.
Boat Outfitters offers a direct-replacement black acrylic glove box that can be installed in place of the access panel, providing secure, out-of-the-way storage for wallets, keys, glasses, etc.
When access is required, the glove box can be unscrewed and removed as easily as the flat panel it replaces.
Leaning Post Tackle Storage
Another factory option is an under-leaning-post tackle center to add valuable storage to aluminum leaning posts. Again, these units are supplied to Sea Hunt by Teak Isle Boat Outfitters, so even if your boat didn’t come with one, you can still purchase the OEM part and be assured of a perfect fit.
The Sea Hunt Leaning Post Tackle Storage Center (30” wide) fits Ultra, Triton, BX and RZR models 2016 and newer.
The Tackle Storage Center with 4 Plano Trays (31.5” wide) was original equipment on a number of earlier models.
Measure the distance between your leaning post legs to check fit, and don’t hesitate to call Boat Outfitters if you’re uncertain.
Leaning Post Cooler Slide
Sea Hunt boats equipped with aluminum leaning posts frequently have a cooler stowed underneath the leaning post. But once the cooler is loaded, it can be difficult to pull out from under the leaning post for full access — and equally difficult to find what you’re looking for inside without pulling it out
Many owners choose to install a cooler slide, which makes it easy to slide the cooler out for access and then back out of the way.
