Load n lock gunwale rod holder
I ordered the regular 3 rod gunwale rod holder and tried to install in place of the worthless factory mounted circular rod holders. The regular holders were too short. I returned them and ordered these only because they were the right size not realizing how they "locked". After installation I figured out how they work and now love them! These folks are awesome to work with!

Can these be mounted under T-Top?
A shopper on Jan 23, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hello, they can used there but depending on rough the water is at the time and the type of rods and reels used in there would be a possibility of them popping out. For an overhead application I would recommend using the spring loaded rod holders. I will include a link to those options below for you to review.

What mounting distance between the two holders do you find works best? I have about 9-ft of under gunnel space to work with and usually run 8-9-ft rods.

BEST ANSWER: Great question. We find that most boat builders position them 5 ft to 6 ft apart. That said, you want to space them enough to accommodate the tackle you generally fish with.
Are these made out of 1/2 or 3/4 inch material?

BEST ANSWER: Great Question,

This product is made with 1/2" thick King Starboard.

Thanks.
