Yeah... but where did it come from? Through our expertise and innovation, we spent years looking for the perfect foam solution only to find it didn’t exist. That’s how we ran into Ultralon- the world leader in foam production for orthotics and high-performance sports. We got together, played mad-scientist, and formulated our own foam with the qualities we wanted, and Shark Deck was born.
After rigorous testing, Shark Deck has been designed with a higher density that allows for increased temperature resistance, and improved durability over other leading competitors. Improved durability allows it to endure harsh environments with higher tensile, elongation, and tear strength.
That means:
- Improved heat tolerance, does not become too hot to stand on
- Closed-cell construction – won’t absorb water
- Improved traction
- Excellent insulator
- Good impact absorption
- Lightweight- More than 20% lighter than competition
- Higher resistance to light amplification than competition
- Mold and mildew resistance
Clean spills and messes immediately to reduce possible staining. Some materials can stain the foam pad if not quickly removed. Ex: ketchup/mustard, fishhooks left to rust, fish blood, bird droppings, etc.
Clean dirt or stains with an all-purpose cleaner with water and a medium-bristle deck brush. Mix the cleaner with warm water in a bucket and dunk the brush in. Work the soapy water into the foam with the brush until the dirt comes up. Rinse with water.
To remove fish blood: Mix 1 cup of bleach with 1 gallon of warm water. Dunk the brush in the bleach water and scrub in a circular motion until the blood is removed. Repeat as needed.
Do not use mineral spirits for cleaning
