I want to replace the cracked plexiglass in my port windows. They are oval shaped so what tools would I use to cut 3/8" and 1/2" to shape and not scratch it?
John S on May 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Hi John, we cut all of our acrylic on our CNC routers, but the best hand tool to use would be hand router, like a Dremmel or a Roto-Zip. This style of cutting is cleaner and less likely to chip/crack the cut edges. We typically use 1/2" router bits to keep the bit from flexing for a cleaner cut. Thanks John!
Is this acrylic cast or extruded?
A shopper on Jan 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Almost all of our acrylic is cast acrylic because it's a higher quality material than extruded acrylic. Cast acrylic is more predictable (as far as expansion and contraction) when heating and bending. I hope this helps!
